Almiral de la Font is a luxuriously restored masia near Sitges, just south of Barcelona. Staying at Almiral is a unique experience: renovated with great care and attention to detail, this beautiful ‘masia’ (Catalan manor house), offers high-tech modern comforts whilst retaining the historic charm and character of the original building. Set high on a hillside in the Penedes wine region, the masia is surrounded by the Garraf National Park and offers dramatic sea and mountain views.
In the main house, there are 3 two-bedroom suites with a bathroom each, 7 further bedrooms with their bathrooms too. The cottage sleeps 5 more.


Indoors

Sleeping for up to 28 in the main house. 13 bedrooms in total. Seven twin/double bedrooms. Three 2-bedroom suites. All bedrooms have ensuite facilities
Cottage 10 metres from villa sleeping 4/5 – self-contained with own kitchen, bathroom and separate access. (Note: Only rented to those in the main house – price on request)

- First Floor

On the right from the stairs – through a corridor is the West Wing. This is a suite with double four poster king size bed and door to separate sitting room with two single beds (90 x 190cm) which may be put together. This suite has its own sun-terrace.

Prior to entering the West Wing, you will have passed through a corridor. On the right hand side of the corridor is the Margallo – a bedroom which has a double bed which can be made into twins and a shower bathroom. This bedroom has its own patio which leads to the back garden area of the house.

Straight on from stairs – enter the mini hallway – straight ahead to the left is the Classic Suite. This has a king size double (180 x 200cm) with bath in separate room, shower and, in through a door to a separate sitting room a large sofa-bed (160 x 195cm). NB the bathroom is open-plan.

Straight ahead to the right is the Japanese room. This has a double bed that can easily be converted to twin beds (180 x 200cm) and a large luxury shower room.

To the left is the Ochre room – which has two large single (queen size) beds.
The Bali room to the left has a 4-poster double bed (180 x 200cm).

To the left of the stairs is the East Wing. This has an open plan bath with shower attachment, a 4-poster double bed (195 x 200cm) and in a separate sitting room, a large sofa-bed (160cm).

- Second Floor

To the right of the stairs is the door to the Mediterranean bedroom. This has a double bed (180 x 200cm) and also a large double shower room.
The Gold Suite (Dorm 8) straight ahead from the stairs has a double bed (180 x 200cm) and in its own sitting area a sofa-bed (160cm).

- Casita

The casita adjoins the main house seperated by a patio area. It is a two storey cottage which is open plan. It is entirely separate from the main house and, as well as access from the main house, has its own drive. It has a bathroom to the left on entry beyond which is a fully fitted kitchen and small dining area. Past the kitchen is a lounge with double sofa bed. The casita is air conditioned.

The upstairs area is a mezzanine construction split into two areas in which there is a double and single bed. To go upstairs you will need to negotiate a spiral staircase which is not suitable for the elderly.

The casita is a simpler cosier style to the main house and offers extra space which is connected with the main house but also allows families or teenagers a separate and distinct place. The casita is never rented to a group which is different from that renting Almiral.

Location

The masia is located just two kilometres from the traditional town of Sant Pere De Ribes.The well-known seaside town of Sitges is 6 kilometres away and Barcelona is only a 30-minute drive. Barcelona airport is 25 minutes away and Tarragona (Salou) airport is 50 minutes away.
